A Pause For Nature
Sour orange and Cherry red
Golden hue under a bed
Of garden pink and passionate skies
Where they’ll meet their timely demise
Ushering in a snappy breeze
For twilight time is smooth with ease
The sun has drawn to close its eyes
The warmth that now crawled from its apprise
And now shadowing into the night
We are guided by a different light
Fall has issued where it was a broiled
Dancing there on the green mossy soil
Pairing rights and colored plumes
Preparing for the springtime bloom
Pick the seeds from what look like weeds
Collecting and canning them as beads
The briny vines with fruitless wonder
Winter shall embrace them under.
