Oh, thank you so much JCB! I am so grateful for your energizing feedback. Just saw an exhibit called Bouquet of the Arts - floral arrangements that reflect masterpieces. Some of the paintings showcased Ekphasis poems written by children that wrote about the painting. I thought of you! This is an annual exhibit at a local museum. Very special and very creative!

Hi Jennifer! At first this form was a challenge especially for a free verse junkie like myself! Then I realized if I separated out the transitional words the images would stand out and be more focused. Then it became easier. The theme of the poem is about finding that little patch of blue - that haven of light and hope - wherever we are and whatever we are experiencing. Thought the weather would be a good foundation.
