A Passing Fragrance

You will leave as you enter A passing fragrance Not unlike the breeze of midsummer My wish to hold you here in vain A silent touch Not unlike the first warm bead of rain Heart and mind with you will go A stolen breath Not unlike the oxygen for a fire's soul It is not in you to return A longful memory Not unlike the tears falling on wounds that burn
