A Part of Me

This is a part of me
The heart of me
The thing that guards me
From anything that will harm me
They will retreat
With the beep
Of my inner alarm
They might think quick
With wit and charm
But its my punctual poise
That leaves them wound up like yarn
Because the fact that their lacking
Is that this is only a fraction
Of what can happen
When the passion
Ireact with
Has been contracted,
Concentrated and compacted
Into a manuscript of action
Whether or not I am there to catch it
I feed on the reaction
Of satisfaction,
So grasp it,
The last hit
Of the everlasting,
ME

Hi, lauren. You have a unique poetry style. I would say it's free verse. thanks for reading my Groundhog Day poem even though I did not understand why you thought it had something to do with religion.
