A Park Bench At Christmas

THE PARK BENCH AT CHRISTMAS>/centre> Santa sits on a park bench with Rudolph by his side. A mechanical fault on the loaded sleigh has interrupted their ride. Never before has this happened, not in two thousand years. But now the world would be flooded by a million children’s tears. He’s sent a text to Mrs. Claus to tell her of their plight, And his elves are fetching spare parts, speeding through the night. So while he sits there waiting, knowing help is at hand, He switches on his lap top, to e-mail each child in the land, “My sleigh’s been giving trouble, there may be some delay. This year you’ll have to be patient and wait ‘til Boxing Day” November 2018 picture no. 3

I enjoyed the humor in this one and definitely a touch of the English tradition is in the lines. Thanks for participating in my contest. I hope that your holidays are the best that you could imagine. Congrats. Sara

So cute and no nasty surprises at the end like your Winter wonderland poem. I enjoyed this and hopefully I will get your name right this time. So sorry Bryn.
