A Pandemic of Love

I open my eyes, and what do I see? A world of fear, and misery to be. A place where me, comes far before they. A place where little of kindnes, comes into play. I shake my head, and return to the book. Read the instructions, before which, we once all shook. The instructions are plain, nothing complex to fear. Why we do not apply them to life, isn’t quite clear. Fairness, and honor, all words that do shine. A world of such thoughts, yes it would truly be fine. Can darkness of heart be such a high? That makes it worth while to see others cry. Children so broken, die by the score. Those with nothing, need so little more. A pandemic of hate, greed, and abuse of the gift. It was meant for all, their spirits to lift. The word ‘great’ belongs only to He. The rest we are equal, and meant to be free. So I ask us to plant a virus so pure. A pandemic of love which spreads to each shore. If we all give a little, we still will have more. Societies pyramid which stand on it’s point. Unstable, and cruel, and fails to annoint. Balance, and fairness, these be the goal. All food which is clearly good for the soul.
