A One-Man Show

My faced is caked
With pigment baked
Into the glaring night
I look for light
It’s me I fight
Day and night
Have you no eyes?
Do you not see?
You are looking
At another me
I stand alone
I do not own
I am the speech
I am the word
I am the battle
I am the axe
I am the struggle
I am the strife
This is my way
This is my life
I am so many
I am but one
I am all and yet I am none
The time is now
I’ve stood and how
On this stage of life
I’ll take a bow, I’ll take a bow!
