A Once Proud African Warrior
A once proud African warrior
Shield and spear in hand
Tall stood he, A mesmerizer
Owner of his own land
A once proud African mother
Hoe and maize in in her hand
Tall stood she, Providing her children with cover
Owner of her own land
Now a beaten down man
Poverty and indignity in his hand
Can only dream of being a warrior
Slave in his own land
Now a beaten down women
Hunger and indignity in her hand
Can only dream of her own soil
Slave in her own land.
I hope that a once proud nation, still has hope
and free themselves from this iron rope.
