A New Level of Loneliness

I've discovered a new kind of loneliness
that colors my world
shades red and blue
eyes coated with anger and sadness
ready to close indefinitely
right on cue
because it's hard to find beauty in consciousness
when i know that these waking moments
can't be one's spent with you
and it's funny how breathing becomes tedious
when every exhalation feels so futile
without my love, life's beautiful muse
life just feels so purposeless
nothing can excite me
there's nothing like you
even food has become so tasteless
i don't think i want anything to sustain me
if i can't be with you
