A New Lease On Life
Everyday I rose
I felt trapped in the worlds confusion,
In a marathon of ' Life '
I got illusions of victory, but I was losin',
So I contemplated with self & my conclusion's,
It's no time for rest, see i'm blessed,
With the wisdom & favor of God
So I'll make it on my quest for success,
Because I'll suggest, a better plan
I'm a better man
But the ghetto blues Still sometimes attack me from behind,
We intertwine
And past episodes will have my frame of mind,
Deeply thinkin' 'bout my lost souljah's[friends],
Who were molded & sculptured,
In a culture fulla' vultures,
So I make a toast up,
To my friends, who became casualties,
They left the earth too soon
Some civilians some goons & in actuality,
Faulty faculties cause havoc
And it's sad to see,
When their Moms pray,
and hope that one day,
It's no more gun play,
and they're tired of screamin'
and watchin' their sons lay,
Dead in the streets & families mourn,
But we can make it through storms,
If we put on Gods uniform,
Here's what I learned
You live a better life when you're saved,
Change your menu, don't continue to misbehave,
Only fools will stay Lucifers slave,
That's why I walk all my miles,
With a christian style & smile,
I changed my life style
and twisted my life dial
to a 'NEW LEASE'
So livin' is now worth while.
