A New Journey

A NEW JOURNEY

I know you’ve traveled many miles,
Left family, friends, and home;
And I am sure that for awhile
You will feel so alone.
But as you start your journey here
In our church ministry,
I know you’ll find our folks so dear,
Just like a family.
We’ll shower you with love and prayer
And soon I know you’ll see
How many of our folks who care
And want your friend to be.
I wish you blessings from above,
More than you’ve ever known;
That soon our people you will love
And feel like you’re right at home.
This journey new that you now see
You’re not on it alone--
You have new friends and family
And a new place to call home.

Dedicated to Stacy Withers, our new piano player at Heritage Baptist Church, August, 2003.
