A New Husband, a Lost Father

He makes me want to smile
A feeling I haven't wanted in a while

He is my world nothing more or less
He talked me through my days of stress

I just wish Daddy could see me now
As I walk down the aisle and take that vow

Oh daddy I love him, he's such a sweet man
To be by my side, it was all written in some plan

He loves me more than I thought to be able
And with God as our focus, our marriage will be stable

I missed you at my wedding, you didn't walk me down the aisle
Though my life is happy here, to see you in heaven will be worthwhile

Love is wonderful and so is this poem. Missing a loved one who has gone beyond the vail, is difficult. Sometimes more so than others. But until we have finished our journey and met out purpose here on earth, we just have to miss them. Sadly, buy lovingly, too. Love, Dane
