A New Day a New Time
As I sit here and watch T.V.
I am so dismayed
The crime and shows that children watch
What's happened to the age?
In days gone by it would never be
Utube,Videos and the internet
has changed us all you see.
Is it good or is it bad?
A judgement we can make
Will it make a difference truly what we say?
It's the future
and kind of sad
Do we pass up the good with the bad?
No more books
No reason to read
Look it up on the internet
You'll find just what you need.
No reason to meet in person
Our friends are all online
Call them when you need them
And see what you will find.
They're always there behind the screen
in the middle of the night
If you have a flat tire they are no where in sight.
Our children look up *****
And meet strangers online
Where's your daughter?
Where's your son?
They've met a stranger and now they're gone.
The internet and T.V. shows
lead them to this place.
What if it was yesterday
Would they be here today?
Be careful with the future
No more books to read
But theres the internet and T.V. shows
Is it "Our Friend"?
INDEED.......
