A New Day

Written by: Rodgers Ja Brown

The clouds are gone
the sun shines bright
I open my heart
to all that is right
I take a deep breath
of clean cool air
It feels so good
to release the despair
I open my eyes
and look around
My lips curl up,
no longer a frown
I look to the future
and all I can see
Is anything, and everything
I want it to be

This line told everything to me. "no longer a frown" - it sounds like a surviver, and it is wonderfully subtle, does not "hit you hard" but hit me hard. Because of what I have been through recently.
