A New Circumstance

Maybe I don’t belong here, maybe I once did; maybe I do, maybe none of this is the truth; Maybe it’s a shot in the dark, maybe it’s as honest as the Sun; Maybe I can, maybe just one more chance; Maybe a new circumstance, maybe; Maybe I get tired of old words, maybe that’s to be expected; Maybe this poem’s trash maybe it’s a rough diamond; Maybe lightning struck me, Maybe it never did; Maybe it’s just thunderstorms, maybe silence is what’s real; Maybe it’s a new circumstance, maybe.
