A New Beginning

Dear self-conscious, read this or not
To inspire your life, this is all I’ve got
You’ve got one life to live, so blow it up, freezing hot
You miss 100 percent when don’t take a shot
Fresh new beginnings, because the end must rot

Dear to my fear, I’m afraid to die
Best quote in life that’s cheap to buy
You’re only a failure if you choose not to try
As you look up, you’ll see the limit is sky
The new beginning is a bird and ye must fly

Dear to self, lets open me ears
Forget the years in life, remember the life in years
Is all that matter because all that’s real
Not taking chances so you can run out of them, panic
Amateurs built the ark, pros built the Titanic
Horrible endings you appear to be winning
Never thou shalt we lose a new beginning
