A Muse to Ignite

      a thought heats up… simmers
         grows brighter or dimmer

      one will boil over fire
         another may slowly expire

‘tis shame a muse to ignite
         no further stoking its light

To which white wedding? The one with the groom has a black suit unfit for the dressings.

That's the ticket, Kim. Three strikes and I'm out, after all.

A fun read. A muse will do what a muse wants to do. Have a fun day with your muse as you both go writing away..........

Exactly! That’s a perfect way to put it—sometimes thoughts are like fireflies: delicate, fleeting, and unpredictable. No matter how much we try to make them shine or grow, some ideas simply flicker briefly and vanish, while others catch fire on their own. Perhaps the beauty lies not in forcing them to blaze, but in appreciating the gentle, fleeting glow they give.

Great insight there in your last sentence, Jenish. Appreciated. ~ Gershon
