A Mouse in a Tux
An uproar in the velvet boxes
a tiny gray mouse in a tux
popped out from the pocket
of a driver of trucks
‘Scandal’ played on the lips of
the snooty fashionables
How dare that gauche driver appear
in his greasy wash-and-wearables
O, the shame of it all
as the mouse toured the wall
When even a night at the opera
features a mouse drawing catcalls
