A Mother's Prayer

A Mother's Prayer

God bless this child's tiny hands,
Before they grow up to be a man's.
And Lord bless these sweet little feet,
Before his path in life he'll someday meet.

Strengthen his legs to always stand tall,
Even when his back is against the wall.
May love be all his ears will ever hear,
While never having to live a life in fear.

Let his mouth speak words that are kind,
From the peace he feels inside his mind.
May his arms grow to be ever strong,
With the power to fight against what is wrong.

May he appreciate the beauty his eyes will see,
From the flowers to the leaves on the trees.
But most of all Lord, be sure he gives his heart to you,
Long before his life on earth is through.
