A Mother's Love
When a woman first knows
There lays delicate in her womb
Is a precious little flower
That she carries until bloom
In the essence of the journey
That's described in all her ways
She will understand what love feels like
And profess it everyday
It's not seen or heard quite naturally
Just the rush of a sensation
Of a dwelling soul inside her life
That is forming a creation
It's the posture of a nurturer
As she palms her rounding belly
Giving seemingly a touch of calmness
To massage the molding jelly
Yes a squishy little being is preparing to breathe life
In a world of many fallibles with some devastating heights
I'll be here to give you guidance from the mistakes I've come to know
And I hope they give you inspiration to be better than what you're shown
I think you're beautiful in every way
Don't let anyone tell you different
You're my child from a blessing
And I say that with no resistance
You're the music to my ears when I first heard your heart beat
Now it's plays with much consistency
In a rhythm softly
How I'm proud to be your mother looking in the eyes of an angel
When I think about the dreams I've had
I can guarantee there's one that came true
