A Mother's Instinct

Please help, my child is all wrong!

She turns away when I sing a song.

Just because she’s not a disruption.

Does not mean your ignorance is not a corruption.

When she forces a smile, it is all a sham.

Soon, she will not be a little lamb.

She will grow into the behaviors that used to be so endearing.

When she was a child, I wish others were caring.

A mother’s instinct was right all along.

Now look at her! She can’t sing a song!
