A Monkey In the Moonlight

I was the captain of the vessel
that sailed every sea on the moon.
I always felt that something wasn't right.

Funny shaped shadows
were cast upon the earth's seas,
seems there WAS a monkey in the moonlight.

The wayward rain
shifted in between our dreams.
The quintessence of crystals
locked within solid moonbeams.

Ophelia rose from the cradle,
with her souls' integrity clenched in her hand.
Her dream thrust forth like mountains,
becoming Ophelia's Dreamland.

Where possibilities tasted
like colors crackling to life--

where darkness has been laid to rest...
