A Moment With a Stranger

Oceans apart
Their lives a heart
That whispers sounds
And knows no bounds
It sailed away to brighter days
To rid itself from an internal maze.

Beautiful distraction
An informal satisfaction
I’m shocked by my reaction
To this beautiful distraction.

A moment with a stranger
That some assumed was danger
A second with a light
That burned away the night
Drowning out the darkness of this world I know
A treasure kept inside my heart
Forever it shall glow.

Beautiful distraction
An informal satisfaction
I’m shocked by my reaction
To this beautiful distraction.

If words could dance
They’d waltz with you
For soulless eyes have been my view
But caves of wonders
Reside in your mind
You are the rarest kind to find.

Beautiful distraction
An informal satisfaction
I’m shocked by my reaction
To this beautiful distraction.
