A Moment To Inflict
Today was the day
No children left to play
Today is the day
Any words are worthless to say
Thoughts beyond the point of recognition
Judgments twisted into indecision
Salvation lacked the grace of superstition
Today was the day
No children were left to play
Today is the day
Words will do nothing but get in the way
Hollow-point, solid-shell
It makes no difference, kills just as well
Forsaken angels bring about their version of hell
Today was the day
Pop quizzes for all the children
Today is the day
You could die from the answer given
Immortalized by a phrase
Martyred for her faith
Oh, to see the grimace on the Devil’s face
Today was the day
No one will ever forget
Today is the day
Just a moment to inflict
