A Moment Taken
She began to ponder the thought and why all things had been
Never obtaining what she had sought since surrounded by sin
Why she wasn't able to achieve for all that her heart would long
How her life would so deceive in thinking that she was so strong
There, in resting all alone she put to the Lord a simple question
The answer which she already had known yet continued to run
She asked Him, "Oh Lord! Why me" in simply bowing her head
As then the Lord set Angela free in the two Words He softly said
Why Me, He so lovingly did respond, a simple cross around her neck
As with an unbreakable bond, such a great love she couldn't reflect
So she had always thought just figuring herself that this can't be true
But the Lord having been sought, she found something old felt anew
For He was right there by her side and Angela sensed His Presence
As with all of those tears she cried the relief itself was so immense
Now truly knowing this fact that the Lord had never once left her side
Gave Angela what she had lacked as before she had so vainly denied
