A Moment of Too Many
Head phones in her ears
Afraid to hear her screams.
She turns the volume up.
Maybe she'll wake up from the dream.
Cradling her self to sleep
One moment of too many,
All secrets, she's to keep
Eyelids so heavy, music bleeding through her ears
Wishing she would stop
Hoping no one can hear.
She's grabbing onto the ground
Shaking herself,scared.
Trying to calm down but no ones there to care.
She cries herself to sleep waiting for the sun
So she can look at her reflection
And see what she has done.
And she'll know it wasn't a dream
Her cheeks are stained with streams
Reminding her of last night
Another moment she's forever going to keep.
