A Moment of Time
A quiet moment's peace to contemplate
Awhile.
Three cats curled up nearby help permeate
A mood
Of mellow satisfaction. Loathe am I,
Meanwhile,
To quell the quietude and thus deny
The good
That comes from simple gifts of time bestowed
Upon
Oneself. To set aside one's daily load
Of strain,
If only for a moment, can restore,
Anon,
A sense of balance to one's very core
Again.
