A Mistreated Heart

by Michael J Faloico Before the tear hit the ground the door had already shut.. As the letters were being formed the words hurt with deep painful cuts.. You turned and walked away without thought.. My heart crumbled in pieces, so many not caught.. Now invisible cracks hold together mistreated heart.. Eyes like windows see clearer for another fearful start..

a heart breaking write, there is an old story, you may of heard, when you lose a love one, because of a break up, then of it like this, it is like missing the bus, wait a little while and another will come along. My first marriage ended after 4 years, i was heart broken, thinking my life was over, then i met my wife, and we have been married 41 years now. You are a great poet, and when you write your true feelings come out, i found out it helps to write about it, like you have done.

Yes Sara is all about rebounding and getting back in the game.. I find it easier to write on the past which in return makes me appreciate today a lot more.. Thank you for your constant caring and support...Michael

The first cut is the deepest, Michael. After the first loss of a love, others seem less hurtful. As you say so eloquently, your eyes are seeing clearer, taking account the danger associated with entering another relationship. Thanks also for your kind words. I just hate not returning comments, but I will do my best to catch up. Love, Carolyn
