A Miracle

A miracle

I now come before you Lord
And I am down on bended knee
I have come to let you know
That little girl can now see

She was born and could not see
I wanted her to find a way
To see the world of beauty
So I would come to you and pray

The first years of her life
Were spent learning how to cope
No sight she had but she could hear
And the doctors gave us hope

We finally received the doctors call
That said the time is drawing near
We believe she will see again
And it caused a happy tear

So I came again to you in prayer
I asked for help to win the fight
And that prayer was answered
The moment she first saw light

She looks at the world in wonder
And is thankful for the power of prayer
She truly believes the doctors hand
Was guided by your presence there

I will thank you every day I live
And the gift that helped her see
I will cherish the miracle you gave to her
Because that little girl was me.
