A Millinial's Lament
What makes you stumble man?
I guess you'll never know.
Wherein lies your hunger man?
As your desperation starts to show.
Cause it can't thunder before the lightening strikes.
It won't rain without a cloud.
Too afraid to keep on holding on.
But you dare not let it out.
You're all alone
. . .
Covered up by people.
In the midst of the storm . . .
Is the only peace you've ever known.
What makes you stumble man?
Well I guess you know by now?
You'll never pick that fruit
If you haven't pushed a plow.
Cause it can't thunder before the lightening strikes.
It won't rain without a cloud.
Too afraid to keep on holding on.
But you dare not let it out.
You're all alone . . .
Covered up by people.
In the midst of the storm . . .
Is the only peace you've ever known.
But you remember that day
And you remember what you saw.
And you remember that face
Even when your memories turn to fog.
Cause it can't thunder before the lightening strikes.
It won't rain without a cloud.
Too afraid to keep on holding on
But you dare not let it out
You're all alone . . .
Covered up by people
In the midst of the storm . . .
Is the only peace you've ever known
And you're so so far from home
