A Midsummer's Night Poetess's Scheme

THIS IS A FANATSY POEM !!!!

In the still of the summer night,
The perfect poetess delighted in
hurting a fellow poetess?
Tis simply immoral and so not right!

This spinner of sonnets, loved by so
many,
Craved attention for herself alone,and
for others~ Not any!

Like the movie "Psycho"' out came her
her vengeful,peacock- colored sharp quill.
Murmuring in anger, " I will do her in~
I will, I will!"

Set herself down then, with a glass of wine.
Long hair' shining in the God's moonlight, saying:
"Nobody dare think thoughts any other than mine!"

God forgive us, then, if we dare attempt to drag
people down!
Her vicious comment completed,that scary
laughter~a mix of both witch, and circus clown.

Poetry soup is not wrestle mania, people!
Not one of us is God, and she was amply
forgiven, indeed by the one she hurt,
Under a summer, starlit, silver steeple!

I tend to avoid and ignore inter poetry soup politics for it can get cutting sometimes - sad that this sonnet writer has nothing better to do with her time. But don't you think that it is also unnecessary for someone not to have their own opinion and just flow with what the majority are saying - say what you think, each one of us a unique being. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Jennifer mou, we are all unique. We should never go with the flow IF we honestly disagree. What if this site want Communist? WOuld you go along? Many would, not me. Germany... all had to love Hitler. Or else. He shot and baked tham. Thessaloniki~ huge Jewish Population perished. No, I follow my ethics. I don't subscribe to BETTER RED, THAN DEAD..prefer death than to being a sheep. THINK OF ZORBA..Katzanzakis,a great writer. Hugs, Pangagiots

Great one, Pangie! Why can't we all just write poetry to encourage, to educate and to uplift our fellow-poets. Forget all this crap about how many poems one can write or how many comments one can garner. I strive for quality and hopefully something constructive and all else is balderdash!!!!!!!!!!! - Bob

Hello Panagiota, I just read this poem. We are all grown ups, and should act like grown ups not children. Like tom says it is a place of encouragement. it is not a place to wrestle. Hugs xx

Both you and Tom are masters of encouragement! And people with ego problems are here. To harm another poet? To belittle or shame them? Tells a tons about that person. All points of view are allowed here. If not, not one of us is safe from a verbal or physical threat. I had a death threat when I was here lonely a few months. It scared me! Panagiita

A place of encouragement and support it says when you log in, what happened? Tom

EXACTLY. sometimes, poets forget that. Just keep writing, forgive! That's their issue... Keep a copy, send to PS. Punching another poet is an attack. I have seen people start civil wars when they disagree with the POTD winner. We all have egos, right? Keep it on a leash, Panagiota

Jo ...hi...this I feel is a place for support. But some push the envelope in terms of jumping on your back and joyfullly stabbing you. Not necessary, Jo. It's simple. Better to read another poet you comport with. Totally inappropriate to cause pain to another.. * Panagiota *
