A Message of Hope

I awake contented as I hear the birds sing
A message of hope seems to be what it brings
The sky opens up providing rays of light and hope
The future hangs before me like a carrot on a rope.

Brooks stumble over stones on their journey toward the sea
They remind me of the change of what is and what shall be
The water rises up but soon it shall recede
I don’t get what I want but have what I need.

I see the flowers open up to accept rays from the sun
Little rays of happiness so they all try to grab some
Beauty surrounds as the trees provide some shade
As I view all the beauty that nature has made.

The grass is so green and the sky is so blue
Erasing all the sorrow making everything brand new
The birds take to the sky as they begin to soar
The world is before me as I open up my door.

I look in amazement at all that God has made
A cool breeze blows by in the oak tree’s shade
Animals scurry around they don’t seem to have a care
My eyes take it in and my heart joins in the share.

I know I’ve seen this many times before
But it seems today I see so much more
The world I see daily becomes inspiring to me
As I see what is and imagine what can be.
