A Memory In My Heart
A Memory In My Heart
Your companionship
Was oh-so nice
Somewhat like
A soothing spot in paradise
There is such peacefulness
That fills up within me
When we are together
Sharing our company
Even all of those times
Of no words to each other
A touch of silent bliss
Would always seem to hover
All of the laughter
And joyous smiles
Was the best medicine
I’ve had in a very long while
Friendships of this type
Come only in a few
And each shared moment
Becomes something all brand new
These things are surely missed
Through each occasional spat
With thoughts of ‘This just might be’
When I actually lose ALL of that
In those periodic disputes
If a bond is genuine, it will restore
Bringing back that friendship
To be better than it was before
My Hopes are kept high
For this path to not part
Like someone – just passing by
Leaving A Memory In My Heart
