A Mayor's Dilemma
A Mayor’s Dilemma
By Elton Camp
When a hurricane his city approaches
And the mayor the subject broaches
No matter what it is that he may say
Critics will say it was the wrong way
If he says evacuate you sure must
The storm’s a bust and he loses trust
He says there’s no cause for alarm
He is condemned if there comes harm
Critics have the benefit of hindsight
In advance the mayor must get it right
Mayor must balance a needless scare
And leaving folks in danger out there
