A March Poem

Your lilted yawns
And the ends of your hair
Like the curled tails of prawns
Freckles on your face
Like the dappled fur of fawns
I'm the luckiest I've ever been
Lying in your arms
As if you were
A four-leaf clovered lawn
Every time I see you
It's like the first sight of dawn
After long and restless struggle
I am met with easing calm
