A Man and a Woman Stood Together,..Yet Apart.

A man stood on the bridge looking at the river that he was named after.
A woman stood on the rocks looking out to sea,..
thinking of the man that was named for the river.
She was on the coast, but her heart was on that river with him.
The rivers fury flowed through his veins.
The oceans passion flowed through hers.
They were both awaiting the time when the waves of her ocean
would meet the waters of his river and mingle,
just as that river does when its destination is finally reached.
The endless, ever pounding, relentless, churning ocean.
