A Lurid Lighthouse

A Lurid Lighthouse

Lights from small windows could be seen
Around lighthouse was storm bad and mean
Dark clouds everywhere and also overhead
As I had been laying resting in my bed.

Far away in distance we did see a ship
Water flowed oven lighthouse's lower lip
Returned to be back into sea and then
Whole process would start all over again.

To go there several times did yearn
To hear a seagull or perhaps a tern
Flying by and would be loudly screeching
Calm down sea God they were beseeching.
