A Lovely Orchid

pink and white petals
soft and velvety to touch
a lovely orchid

adorning the suit
of a young man in the prom
as a boutonniere
 
delicate flower
of exotic loveliness
growing in the wild

I got pulled in by the title I am a self confessed orchidaholic - I have over 20 in my lounge - keep saying I wont get any more then i see one in a shade i haven't got and my resolve goes out of the window - great haiku:-) Hugs jan xx
