A Love Song

I will always love you; I can’t help. . . it. You came like sunshine- stunning the snow . . . my love. You left; then snow had all melted away. Oh, you’d fled from my sight; gone was my sweet ray. Where have you gone? Oh, I miss you so much. I can’t bear it. Interlude music I think of you and poems can blossom, Still they need sunshine. It’s not the same . . . dear love. Snow still can melt; flowers bloom. I don’t care. For nothing I know takes the place of your touch. Oh bring back your sunny smile. Let me melt like the snow. (I tried to match the lyrics to the piano notes that are high and seem to carry the main melody) Aug.20, 2022 N/A in the Gymnopedie contest For a Brian Strand Premiere Choice Poetry Contest

Simple yet its depth has a warmth that make this piece heartfelt. I like that its presence is absent yet its act of melting the snow had already been achieved.

Wonderful composition, Andrea. I had to read twice to be able to grasp the nice piano melody. Blessings Andrea and best of luck in the contest.

I had to read it a second time to hear the music. Once I put it to a tune in my head it nearly brought tears to my eyes. (I'm quite serious). You are truly gifted, and this is proof positive, dear Andrea. Many blessings, Terry

I put the music to it. The problem is that I do not use every note of the song, I try to stay with the piano part that is in higher key, so it's not easy to follow how I'm doing it.
