A Lot of Nothing

There is nothing so stupid as the person who thinks that he’s so smart
There is nothing so ugly as an unpainted piece of art
There is nothing so worthless as the money that we hoard
There is nothing so boring as the people who say that they are bored

There is nothing so tasteless as the food left upon our plate
There is nothing so wasted as a mind that’s full of hate
There is nothing so dark as a light that will not shine
There is nothing so senseless as to injustices being blind

There is nothing so pitiful as a self-pitying fool
There is nothing so empty as a prison that is full
There is nothing so sad as a world that cannot love
There is nothing said here that we cannot rise above

I love your styles. Each one defines you in a different way. Wonderful creative thinking poetically evolved. You are one of the best.

This is very true and cleverly written.. I like the format too.. my favourite line..."there is nothing so pitiful as a self-pitying fool..." two meanings here.. we have a comfort zone in this place... and we have a real diagnostic mental illness here too. Nice write xx
