A Long Time Ago

A long time ago, When innocence was part of life; Where love resided in many hearts, And happiness was rife. A long time ago, When sixteen he was and slim, Handsome and polite, The virgin girl cried for him. A long time ago When lovemaking was in circumstance, Babies born out of wedlock were few And kissing was the main part of romance. A long time ago, That was many many years ago, Life was simple and sacred, And many hearts love did bestow.
