A Lonesome Valentine

We draw a line across time sand,
I let go of your trembling hand.
You open window on new land,
learn to dry your tear.
Our roads diverge in bleak terrain,
I walk mine rinsed in wistful rain,
each step remembers shared old pain,
and yet here we are.
