A Lonely Man Laid Down In His Bed

A lonely man laid down in his bed

A lonely man laid down in his bed

As he began to cry and grieve

Because his wife was no longer by his side

Because she had recently died

And he had lost all of his desires to live

And he really didn’t know how he could
possibly survive without her by his side

Because there was nothing in the world
that he cherished more then his wife’s love

Because she loved him more then anyone did

As he loved her till the day that she died

But that night before he went to sleep

He kneeled down by his bed side

And he prayed to the Lord

To lift him up from

The heavy burdens that he carried

So that the good Lord could

Give him the strength that he didn’t have

So that he could continue to live without
his wife by his side

Because he knew in his heart
that is what
his wife would have wanted

I wish you a wonderful day filled with love and inspiration Dean. And if this poem is your life then just keep your faith as you will see her again in Heaven. Love, Carol

Sad write here. The loss of one's mate would be one of the hardest losses in a person's life. Keep writing. Sara
