A Lonely Kitchen
A LONELY KITCHEN
Everyone here has something to hide
You can see it in their eyes
We’re all entertained at a party of lies
And I am singing loud
The ones on the porch are all catching fire
The ones in the ice like to drown
The nervous ones watch all around
The bathroom keeps them wide awake
There isn’t a care with the doors locked
The windows are smoked by the spoon
All those on the roof with the stars and the moon
Say they’re never coming down
The ones in the bedroom say they’re in love
Those on the couch just don’t care
The kitchen wishes it wasn’t there
But it’s just a kitchen
Everyone here has someone they’ve found
You can see it in their eyes
My only voice are my sighs
And I am singing loud
