A Lonely Day

I woke up and looked around bedroom My spouse was off to work I called my Pet dog But it had been stolen by a jest previous night To kitchen I went if someone was there The maid had absconded her duty I went across the road to the grocery shops None of them was open I sat at veranda to think But my brain was dull and dump that morning I phoned my close friends far and near The response was, “network busy” What a lonely day for me in this town today No one here, no one there; no response to calls “Am I the only one lingering on earth today?” I asked with a deep breath!
