A Little Yellow Bird

The rumble of thunder and falling rain Roll across the dale and plain As springtime sounds return the green The pride of nature proudly preen Atop the noble fir tree’s crest The virile warbler guards a nest Swaying gently on a limb A mate rests beside of him O’er the forest a song is heard Warbled by a little yellow bird
