A Little Wisdom

Dont judge me because ive made mistakes
How else would i learn
And if my soul isnt tried by fire
Perhaps i would really burn

Life has handed me hardships
But blessings ive also recieved
Now that im older i keep my guard up
So i dont become decieved 

Ive learned to keep my mouth shut
And not to react in haste
I stopped taking things for granted
And time I try not to waste

I always steer clear of gossip
So reputations are not ruined by me
I will always help someone in need
Its the way God created me to be

I will never claim to be perfect
And when im wrong i own up to the blame
I will never point a finger at you
For God created us all the same 

Im not a prophet or wiseman
These are things ive learned on my way
If you treat others with love and kindness
You'll be rewarded in heaven someday.
