A Little Prayer

Today on this day,I said a little prayer
For all the poets that I some how find
Your words reach deeper inside of me
Instead of floating all alone in my mind

We were given a meaningful purpose in life
Though some of you may still not know
Words you write reach the hearts of many
Setting off a fire,that starts with a little glow

Some words people read,can change them
Even giving them a new outlook on life
In our hearts there is a special place
That gives us enlightening words to write

Sometimes our words may be filled with sadness
Though for a while,that's the way it must be
With a little prayer from my heart,I want you to know
Those words will always be very special to me
