A Little Girl Without a Doll

alone on a step, cold, hungry and tired, the girl awaits, to be aspired abandoned, once sold, whisked away, it was told, she pines for the doll, that lives in her soul. a soul of care, a moment to breathe, a mothers memory, cast out - seethe. taken and used, powerless, abused, the doll a tool, to amuse. her isolated run, kept hidden from some, she sits in the cold, awaits your arms - just hold. 25/10/2018

Sad but emotionally poetic. I enjoyed the doll as a tool. My compliments!

Hi, you write from the heart, emotions wing across the lines you create to touch the heart. This is a write that plays so skillfully with the heartstrings. I read through the sadness and my emotions spill. You create a reality that does touch the reader deeply. This is excellent poetry my friend. have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs....Mike. XX

What a fantastic take on the contest theme. This had a sadness that can only come from one who can see into others.
