A Little Dash of Time

Things seemed so perfect
True love without a flaw
No one expected this from us
Or ever thought that we would fall

Time proved to be our enemy
When we thought it’d be our friend
It seems as if we took a break
When most would simply bend

But maybe through the heartache
Through the awkwardness and pain
We’ll find true love can conquer all
And from this only gain

As for now our love is diluted
While it was once in its prime
In my heart I know everything can be cured
With a little dash of time.
